Atheist philosophers like Camus, Sartre, and Nietzsche honestly confronted this. Sartre said existence precedes essence; humans must create their own meaning. But self-created meaning is subjective illusion, not genuinely discovered objective meaning. Christianity proclaims: you were purposefully created by a God who loves you; your life has eternal meaning — not self-assigned but Creator-given.
